Family Play Days

Play Days at the CMA are free opportunities for families to be creative, be curious, and connect through art together. Events include music, storybook readings, games, and art making for the whole family. Each event has a theme that relates to an exhibition, artist, or artworks in the CMA’s collection.

My Very First Art Class

Young children and their favorite grown-up are introduced to art, the museum, and verbal and visual literacy in this playful program. Each class features exploration in the classroom, a gallery visit, and art making. Wear your paint clothes! New topics each class.

Summer Creativity Camps

Play and experiment in these fun, art-filled camps bursting with engaging gallery games and hands-on activities. Camps will take place on-site at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Campers will spend their mornings exploring art in the galleries with the CMA’s gallery teachers and afternoons flexing their creativity muscles making art in our classrooms.

Studio Programs for Children and Adults

Join experienced practicing artists in our studios to play with ideas and materials while developing skills and techniques. For fall/winter 2022 and winter/spring 2023, studio classes and workshops for children and adults are taking place exclusively at the CMA’s Community Arts Center (CAC) located at 2937 West 25th Street in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood. The CAC’s bright, vibrant studio spaces are sure to get your child’s creative energies flowing!

Engage and Create

Explore your curiosity and practice your creative thinking skills with fun, playful activities and challenges inspired by works of art from the CMA’s collection. All experiences can be enjoyed from home.
